• Shana Vold recently joined the management team at Bethany Community as registered dietician and culinary director. A Graceville, Minnesota native, Vold graduated from North Dakota State University with her bachelor's degree in dietetics. Recently, she worked in a Miami, Florida cancer unit.
• Douglas County Hospital Rehabilitation Services announced that physical therapists Lindsay Weller, Brian Storhaug and John Helgeson have received their certification in spinal manual therapy, a 12-month post-professional program. Manual therapy uses hands-on techniques to mobilize joints, muscle, connective tissue and nerves to encourage healing and restore function. Studies have shown manual therapy helps a wide range of conditions, including arthritis, tendinopathy and back pain, the hospital said. Douglas County Hospital provides manual therapy services at three therapy locations: Alexandria Clinic, Douglas County Hospital, and the Alexandria YMCA.
• Dilley Zimny Insurance congratulated Margo Niehaus on recently completing the Minnesota Resident Insurance Producer course. After completing the 20 hours of education, Niehaus completed the pre-license course, passed the test and is now a license insurance agent in Minnesota. She is licensed in property and casualty Insurance.
