The free weekly concerts on the Douglas County Courthouse lawn are down to their final few of the summer.

Last Thursday night's show featuring Broken Fiddle from the St. Cloud area drew several hundred people on an abnormally cool, windy and overcast summer evening. The group — whose lead singer, Jake Hagedorn, has ties to Alexandria — had packed them in during a concert in Evansville earlier this summer.

It was the 11th concert of the season. The music events are organized the Red Willow Arts Coalition with this concert sponsored by the Echo Press.
