Crash near Carlos Corners injures passenger

A two-vehicle crash north of Alexandria on Highway 29 sent a passenger to the hospital on Saturday, July 7.

Jerry Degn, 56, of Bloomington was driving a 2010 Nissan Murano south on Highway 29 near South Riverview Drive, just north of Carlos Corners, and was slowing to 30 miles per hour when a 1999 Ford Escort, driven by Dilan Kluver-Pasche, 21, of Hoffman did not slow down and rear-ended the Murano, according to the State Patrol, which released the accident report Thursday.

A passenger in the Escort, William Fleming, 22, of Fergus Falls suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Alomere Health where he was treated and released. He wasn't wearing a seat belt, according to the accident report.

No other injuries were reported. The crash happened at about 8:30 p.m.
