Get election results online

Because Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 6, results and candidate reactions will be printed in the Friday, Nov. 9 Echo Press.

But readers can find up-to-the-minute results on the newspaper website — www.echopress.com — on Election Night.

An Echo Press reporter will be at the Douglas County Courthouse when results start coming in an hour or so after the polls close at 8 p.m. and will be updating results throughout the night and into the early morning hours.

Races that will be highlighted in our Election Night coverage:

Alexandria City Council

• Ward 2 — Bob Kuhlman (incumbent) vs. Roger Thalman.

(Ward 1 candidate, Bill Franze, is running unopposed. In Ward 4, Michael T. Sayler filed to run against incumbent Dave Benson but he later withdrew from the race. It was too late, however, to remove Sayler's name from the ballot.)
