Viking Speedway: Locals enter victory lane on Saturday

The Viking Speedway hosted its annual Kid's Night on July 7 as six feature winners took the checkered flag at the dirt track in Alexandria.

Ryan Mikkelson of Alexandria took home a win in the Modifieds feature after starting second and holding off Blake Jegtvig of Hawley.

Morris driver Corey Storck won the Midwest Modifieds feature ahead of Justin Froemming of Garfield in second and Alexandria's Brandon Dolman in third.

Another Alexandria driver in Jeff Crouse took home the Street Stocks feature. Royce Jawaski of Adrian, North Dakota and Glenwood's Mark Blom were second and third, respectively. In the Super Stocks feature, Brandon's Jason Cook took the checkered flag ahead of Trevor Saurer in second and Matt Miller of Glenwood in third.

Tanner Horn won the Pure Stocks feature in front of Osakis' Dustin Karl in second and Carlos' Megan Blomgren in third. Ben Wolden of Fergus Falls took the feature title in the Limited Late Models feature as Travis Saurer of Elizabeth was second and Casey Meyer of Wahpeton, North Dakota rounded out the top three.

The Viking Speedway is back in action again this Saturday, July 14, with the same six classes running. Races start at 6:30 p.m.
