Fueled by his torrent start, the Junior 10-12 Division has a new champion in Charlie Moen.

Moen knocked off Bennett Olsen—the Alexandria native and two-time defending champion—at the Resorters Golf Tournament at the Alexandria Golf Club with a 1-up victory on Saturday.

Moen, of Edina, opened his day with a birdie win on No. 10, which put him ahead after one hole. And with par wins on Nos. 2 and 3, Moen's lead was built up to 3-up.

Both finalists parred Nos. 13 and 14, then matched with bogeys on No. 15.

With three holes remaining, Olsen finally began chipping away at his three-hole deficit. Olsen carded par wins on Nos. 16 and 17, staying alive for hole No. 18.

It was there, though, that Moen iced away his title. Although Olsen parred the hole, Moen matched it for a tie and clinched the 1-up win.
