Volleyball: Arrows stumped against WHN

The Ashby-Destiny Academy volleyball team couldn’t get much going in a 3-0 home loss to Wheaton-Herman-Norcross on Monday.

The Arrows (3-16) lost the first set 25-10, then stumbled in the second for a 25-5 loss. The Warriors (12-7) finished the sweep in the third behind a 25-13 score.

“(It was) a rough night on the court as we are trying to find a new rhythm and moving players to new spots in the rotation,” Ashby head coach Hayley Stevens said. “We struggled to serve receive, which made it hard to put anything else together and finish a series.”

Courtney Koefod finished with four kills and seven digs for the Arrows, while Brynn Krupke added a trio of kills alongside 14 digs defensively. Madeline Thompson went 7-for-7 from the serving line, where Amelia Barry followed with a 7-for-8 mark.
